Mobile Promotions recently oversaw the delivery of Her Majesty The Queen’s royal visit to Dunstable for the grand opening of independent living home Priory View, working closely with Bedfordshire County Council.
The event saw Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh officially open the award-winning independent living development, in attendance were 50 VIPs and over 100 residents and colleagues from Dunstable County Council involved in the build and running of Priory View.
Constructed out of glass panelling and based in a busy city centre location, Mobile Promotions ensured the building remained visually secure throughout the royal visit by supplying and installing bespoke screening to ensure nobody could see into the building, without compromising the view for guests to the exterior gardens and scenery. Sound proof screens were also provided to ensure that ambient sound was kept to a minimum.
The Priory View residents’ vehicles were moved offsite, for security purposes, with Mobile Promotions coordinating the process. Once the event came to an end, they were returned having received a complimentary ‘wash and brush up’. All VIP guests were chauffeur driven from a designated parking zone to and from the venue in appointed mini-coaches.
Project managers Torie Simpson and Gordon Freshwater supported the overall managing roles ensuring the royal guests’ journey throughout the venue was seamless, while ensuring attendees had the opportunity to be integral cogs in the home’s working operations team.
Kim Hopcroft, senior operations manager at Central Bedfordshire Council comments: “Mobile Promotions was a fully integrated partner in organising the visit of Her Majesty the Queen, to Priory View. They delivered an outstanding service, ensuring that all aspects of this high-profile royal visit were carried out to a premium level and with minute attention to detail. Their event knowledge, skill and passion were a welcome support for our team prior to, and on the day itself, for such a prestigious occasion.”
