Somerset House has announced a range of new Christmas experiences for 2017. These include: the exclusive hire of its hugely popular ice skating rink and the venue’s first all-inclusive Christmas party package from the venue.
The new package, aimed at event organisers looking for a party with a difference this Christmas, will offer guests a traditional festive experience, including exclusive hire of the magnificent Seamen’s Hall. Festive canapés and Christmas delicacies will be on offer alongside unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks for the evening.
As an additional feature to the Christmas packages, guests booking early enough can exclusively hire the famous 900 square metre outdoor ice rink, situated on The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court, open from 17th November 2017 until 15th January 2018. Skating can also be organised alongside an event during public sessions.
Also available for 2017 is a traditional Christmas lunch, with the option of either a buffet or a seated three-course meal. Christmas lunch for up to 100 people can be booked in the Portico Rooms, a blank canvas space which offers spectacular balcony views over both The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court and the River Thames.
Jenny Freestone, head of corporate events for Somerset House Trust, comments: “Christmas is always a very special time at Somerset House and we are renowned for bringing the festive season to life. We are really looking forward to offering a variety of options including an all-inclusive package. Whether event organisers are looking for an extravagant themed party or a small, intimate lunchtime Christmas gathering, we pride ourselves on being able to offer a seamless guest experience.”
